Men's Green Dress Socks

Men's green dress socks in olive, knit in Italy from 100% Egyptian Mako cotton in mid-calf and over-the-calf lengths. Olive is the green that behaves like a neutral, which is what makes it wearable at work.

Why olive rather than a brighter green

Olive is a green with brown and grey in it. That is what lets it sit against navy, charcoal, and brown without competing with them, where a bright or emerald green would read as a statement. It is the green for a man who wants colour at the ankle and not a talking point.

Two lengths

The mid-calf pair sits below the trouser break, the everyday length. The over-the-calf pair finishes above the widest part of the calf and stays up through a full day. The sock size guide shows both on the leg and converts sock size to shoe size.

How they are made

Knit in Italy from 100% Mako Egyptian cotton, mercerised before knitting on 240-needle machines. Mercerising sets the colour deep in the fibre, so the olive holds instead of going grey with washing. Heels are reinforced and hand-linked, and the toe is closed by hand, leaving a flat seam rather than a ridge across the toes.

Wearing olive

Olive is at its best with brown shoes, where the two share a warmth, and with navy or grey trousers, where it is the only colour in the outfit. With denim it reads as casual without looking careless. The sock pairing guide takes trouser, shoe, and sock together.

Part of the full range of men's dress socks, and of the cotton dress socks in both lengths. The sock care guide covers washing, drying, and storing a pair.
