Our standard ties are 3 1/4" wide. They're handmade, so there's a slight variance for every tie. We do make select ties that are wider.

At this time, we only offer custom ties for large orders of the same necktie, e.g. weddings.

All of our ties are handmade in Como, Italy. We also source our wool and silk from Como, Italy.

We do not restock on a fixed schedule. We produce ties in limited runs, then decide what comes next based on demand.

• Foundational ties are replenished when they are consistently requested.
• Refined ties may return in limited quantities based on interest.
• Play ties are one production run only.
• When a tie sells out, it moves to the Vault, where customers can request and vote on what should be made again.

This approach benefits everyone. Customers avoid chasing trends or buying excess. We avoid overproduction and waste. Fewer ties are made, worn more often, and kept longer. It is a slower, more deliberate way of producing clothing, and one that values longevity over volume.

We don't do sales, market one-time discounts or use pressure tactics. We do not inflate our prices so that we can offer discounts later. We do not participate in Black Friday, Cyber Monday or other promotions.

We are not fast fashion. We design pieces with an enduring place in your wardrobe, made to be kept for years.

Standard shipping rates and delivery times are shown at checkout based on your destination and shipping method. Free shipping applies above the order minimum shown at checkout for your destination.

In-stock orders placed Monday to Friday are processed within 48 hours. Orders placed over the weekend are processed the following business day. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout based on your destination and shipping method.

Made-to-order or non-stock items may add up to three weeks. We will let you know if anything in your order falls outside the standard window.

We ship to any country that UPS & FedEx deliver to (more than 220 countries and territories).

Duties and taxes are calculated and shown at checkout where applicable.

For Canadian orders, there are no import duties, only applicable taxes.

It's possible for Canadian customers but we don't recommend it.

Aklasu pieces are made to be kept. If yours is not what you were hoping for, you may return your order within 30 days of delivery. Returns must be unworn, undamaged, and in their original packaging with tags intact.

Free returns and exchanges with Checkout+. At checkout, where available, you can add Checkout+ for a small fee. Checkout+ covers your return or exchange shipping in full, on any item from your order. We use a service called Redo to handle these returns.

Without Checkout+, you can still return your order. The cost of the return label is deducted from your refund.

With Checkout+

Email office@aklasu.co with your Order Number. We send you a pre-paid label. Return shipping is covered in full.

Without Checkout+ (Canada and USA)

Email us with your Order Number. We send you a pre-paid label. The shipping cost is deducted from your refund.

Without Checkout+ (International)

Two options:

• Use our pre-paid label. The shipping cost is deducted from your refund.
• Arrange your own tracked carrier. We cannot refund parcels lost in transit.

Before shipping anything back from outside Canada or the USA, email office@aklasu.co with your Order Number for a Return Authorization. On the customs form, mark the shipment as RETURNED MERCHANDISE with a declared value of $0 to avoid customs delays.

Duties, taxes, original shipping fees, and Checkout+ are non-refundable.

Every Aklasu tie carries a 365-day guarantee. If your tie is defective or damaged through no fault of your own, we exchange it for a new one. Stains, snags, and ordinary wear are not covered.

Past 365 days, write to us anyway. We prefer working things out to standing on policy.

To start a guarantee claim, email office@aklasu.co with your Order Number and a photograph of the issue. Refunds where applicable are issued to the original form of payment, on the schedule of your bank or payment provider.

Yes. We look the part with our signature knot: the Four-In-Hand. Aklasu only wears a Four-In-Hand.

We recommend starting with foundational pieces for all your garments when building your wardrobe from scratch. Foundational pieces are versatile and built to last.

When it comes to ties, start with Navy Blue, Black and Burgundy.

Yes. We have a few cardinal rules you should follow for silk ties.

Store your ties rolled-up and protected. The canister that your tie shipped in doubles as storage too. We do not recommend that you hang or fold your ties. Silk has 'memory' and can lead to persistent creases and wrinkles.

Don't leave your ties in a knot after wear. Untie your tie after every use. Roll it up and store it in an enclosure (safe from dust, fingers and fingernails).

Watch out for your nails. Poorly manicured nails can snag the fibres of your silk tie.

In general, avoid dry cleaning. Dry cleaners are not made equal. If you want to rescue your tie from a stain, it's worth giving the best local dry cleaner in your neighbourhood a try. But as a general maintenance practice, do not dry clean.

If you must, use caution. The key things to remember are:

Limit the heat setting (cool to medium temperature). Use a soft clean cloth to cover and shield your tie from direct heat.

Apply minimal pressure on the iron. Gentle pressure, temperature and multiple passes should be enough. We do not recommend using the steam function.
