Our Purple Grenadine Tie is handmade in Como, Italy from 100% woven Italian silk, using the grenadine fina weave that has defined understated tailoring for over a century. Pair it with a charcoal or mid-grey suit and a crisp white shirt for evening events, weddings, or any occasion that calls for something more considered than a solid navy.
We use a wool interlining for an unparalleled drape and a knot that holds its dimple all day. The result is a tie that earns its place in a serious wardrobe — versatile enough for the boardroom, distinctive enough for occasions you'll remember.

The Make
3¼″ at the blade. The proportion that holds against both a notch lapel and a spread collar, full enough to anchor a sport coat without dominating a suit.
Woven in Como on traditional jacquard looms.
An open weave silk made on antique looms in Como. More depth than plain silk, more discretion than a printed pattern. The cloth that dresses up and down.
A wool core inside the silk, slip-stitched along the length. Gives the knot body, the blade weight, and lets the tie release its creases overnight.
A single thread, gathered loosely along the length of the tie. The reason a well-made tie can be tugged, knotted, and untied for years and still return to its shape.
A hand-sewn anchor at each end of the slip stitch. Small, structural, and the reason the tie does not slowly come undone along its length.
Cut from the same silk as the face of the tie. The blade is held by the cloth it was made for.
